The Summer Festivals in The Netherlands for 2013

There are several summer festivals in the Netherlands for 2013 for every shape, size, duration and content.

FrotaRock

FortaRock is a Dutch-day metal music festival held annually in Park Brakkenstein in Nijmegen since 2009 and is the largest one-day music festival in the Netherlands.

Pinkpop

Pinkpop is the oldest pop festival in the Netherlands. The festival will take place in 2013 for the 44th time, a unique record. Since 1990 Pinkpop included in the Great Guinness Book Of Records as the oldest continuously organized pop festival in the Netherlands.

Awakenings

One of the biggest one-day dance festival of the Netherlands!

Parkpop

Parkpop started in 1981 as a small local initiative and now it is the biggest free one-day festival in Europe, with around 350,000 visitors.

Pitch

Pitch focuses on progressive electronic music, often performed by live bands.

North sea jazz

Be prepared for the biggest jazz festival in the Netherlands. That festival is not only about jazz. There is everything, from funk and latin to soul!

Zwarte Cross

Sports, music and camping are the basic elements for the one of the biggest music festivals in the Netherlands and the largest motorcycle event in Europe.

date: 26, 27 and 28 of July
location: At Lichtenvoorde

Electronic Family

A tight blue sky, friendly people around you. A beer in your hand, or a wine. A beautifully divided and wonderfully decorated field, no queues in sight. While people share looks on the vivacious melodies of the world's most wanted artists in trance music the sense of unity at Electronic Family comes up again. It's that well known unanimous feeling on the dancefloor or-in this case the grass of the Amsterdam Forest.

Solar weekend

Lowlands, the most popular summer festival in the Netherlands, focuses mainly on every kind of music, but it also offers theatre, comedy and even politics.

Amsterdam Dance Festivals

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the world's leading electronic music conference and the biggest club festival for the many electronic sub-genres on the planet. The event offers a full program of daytime conferences, including interactive workshops, mentoring sessions, technical demonstrations and in-depth round-table discussions, alongside a nighttime music festival featuring more than 220 events over five days in 52 venues around the city. Each year, the ADE attracts over 3,000 business professionals and 140,000 festival visitors – including 30,000 tourists - from 62 countries.
