This is a classic devil's cake, made with cocoa. If you're looking for a great-tasting chocolate cake, this is a great choice and is the only cake recipe that you will ever need!
This is a cake with American origin and consists of layers of sponge cake and chocolate or white cream. Those who love chocolate you'll love!
260g. flour for all uses & a bit more for the form 1.5 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 140g. cocoa 230g. cow's butter and shredded some more for mold, melted. Prefer only good cow's butter for more flavor! 400g. sugar 4 eggs 140g. cream 35% fat 140g. fresh whole milk Vanilla
Making the cake!
Put into the mixer the butter and the sugar and blend them until the butter is smooth.
We start by adding the eggs, one at a time & keep blending at the same time.
We add the flour, baking powder, vanilla, salt and cocoa slowly and mix them all together.
Whenever our mix is getting very tight, we pour a bit of milk and keep mixing.
Once we have added all the ingredients in the mixer and the mixture is fluffy and has taken quite a whitish color, we stop blending.
In the end, we add to the mix the cream and place on low mode until mixture is well blended.
We grease and flour thoroughly the bottom and the walls a tart-form. We want the pan to be shallow to make our cake thin and wet.
We spread the mixture in the cake pan and bake it to a preheated oven for 35-45 minutes at 180 degrees. Be careful because every oven bakes differently. The cake is ready 1 minute before the cocoa will start burning in the sides of the cake!
After it has cooled, we put all over caster sugar and we serve it with whipped cream! It is easy, cheap and delicious! Try it out!
